We dig to frost depth, every post, every time. Concrete collars, crowned to shed water, hardware that won't bleed rust down your cedar. It's slower and it costs more than what the low bid quoted you, and it's the entire reason our fences still look like fences a decade in.

Board-on-Board
Overlapping boards, finished identically on both sides. Total privacy with no bad side to argue over — which is why it's the fence most cost-shares get built from.
Privacy & Lattice-Top
Solid vertical boards, with an optional lattice or trellis top for height and light. The most economical way to close in a yard — and pool-code compliant when it needs to be.
Horizontal Slat
Clear cedar run horizontally with tight, even reveals. The one people stop and look at — and the one that punishes sloppy framing, because every line is on display.
The gate
The part that always fails first.
Nobody calls us about their fence. They call about the gate — the one that drags on the walkway, the one you have to lift with your knee, the one whose latch hasn't lined up since the second winter.
A gate is the only part of a fence with moving parts, and it's the part most crews build last and cheapest. We build ours as a standalone piece of carpentry: a braced frame that resists racking, oversized posts carrying the swing, and hardware rated to outlast the cedar it's bolted to.
